KEY FEATURES

  • Current version is SINGTAX Personal 2018. It can perform computations from YA 2006 To YA 2019.

  • Noticed that the data entry modules (colorful buttons on the left of big black arrow) are arranged logically according to the steps for performing a personal tax computation (i.e. incomes, donations, reliefs and rebates). This makes it easy for the junior tax staff or even non-tax personnel to use.You don’t need to be a tax expert to use SINGTAX!

  • Simply select the required data entry modules to makes entries. Then click on the Tax Computation And All Supporting Schedules button and the tax computation will appear before you in seconds – no calculations on your part needed!

  • Apart from the standard computation, SINGTAX Personal also has the ability to perform a wide range of computations including Area Representative, NOR (Not Ordinarily Resident, Tax-On-Tax and Non- Resident computations as well as combinations of these.

Not only is the time taken to calculate the tax computation fast; viewing the tax computation is also a breeze. Simply click on the respective label (on the left of the print preview) of the schedule (e.g. Donations schedule) you want to view and the schedule is displayed instantly – no need to scroll up or down searching for it.

Tax Computation and all supporting schedules can be exported to Excel, PDF, RTF, etc. file formats for further editing such as formatting, adding footnotes, reduce number of printed pages etc. SINGTAX Personal incorporates a customised Excel export feature that exports the tax computation and all supporting schedules (formatting included) to Excel seamlessly.

SINGTAX generates data for FORM IR8A and APPENDIX 8A automatically during the tax computation process. The forms can then be printed from within SINGTAX easily, enhancing your productivity.

Performing Tax-On-Tax computation is time-consuming. Add NOR to it (i.e. NOR cum Tax-On-Tax Computation) and things can become very complicated. You need to check whether the tax rate has changed while calculating tax-on-tax on accommodation benefit. One mistake and you have to do the calculation all over again. Schedule numbers of supporting schedules are auto-generated by SINGTAX. Cross referencing of these supporting schedules to the main tax computation is also automatically done by the system. When a schedule is added or deleted, the schedule numbers are re-generated and cross referencing updated when the tax computation is done again. There is no need to update and keep track of schedule numbers and cross reference them to the main tax computation manually.

The items layout here follows after the Form IR8A format. This makes it easy for the user to copy information from the standard document to the software.

All entry fields in SINGTAX are kept current according to ITA. Changes announced during Budget Speech will be updated to the software as and when details are released by IRAS.

Three periods are provided for Accommodation, Furniture & Fittings, Hotel Accommodation and Car Benefit entry screens. SINGTAX will consolidate amounts for all periods for each item automatically for you – another great timesaver. SINGTAX goes the extra mile to cater for exceptional situations you might encounter.

Three rental periods provided to consolidate rental income for the financial year for each property. The in-built calculator also provides automatic time apportionment of expenses (e.g. property tax, insurance, etc.) for vacant periods.

Enter personal reliefs easily with available options in dropdown lists. Preset values, maximum amount guides as well as built-in system checks eliminates data entry errors. Earned Income Relief and Working Mother’s Child Relief (WMCR) are also automatically calculated by SINGTAX.

Finish your tax computation for the next year even faster than the current one. With this process, you get to carry over everything you want from the current year to the next.


  • For Sole-Proprietorship Income and Partnership Income, unutilised capital allowances and losses will be carried forward to the next YA if their respective checkboxes are checked.


  • For Employment Income, details of accommodation and fittings are carried forward to the next YA if the checkbox for this field is checked.


  • For Dividend Income, Interest Income, Rent And Other Income From Property, Other Incomes and Donations, only the description of items are carried forward to the next YA if their respective checkboxes are checked. The amount of each individual item will not be carried forward.


  • Any unutilised donations amounts will be carried forward to the next YA.


  • For Reliefs, all amounts will be carried forward to the next YA except for CPF contributions, course fees, foreign maid levy, CPF cash top-up & SRS if the checkbox for this field is checked.


  • For Parenthood Tax Rebate, unutilised rebates amount will be carried forward to the next YA if the checkbox for this field is checked.
